The Kazakhstan national fencing team has become world champion for the first time. The country’s men’s team, consisting of Ruslan Kurbanov, Yerlik Sertay, Kirill Prokhodov, and Vadim Sharlaimov, secured a convincing victory in épée fencing at the World Championship held from July 22 to 30, 2026, in Hong Kong (China).
