The First of the Rasidun Caliphs — Abu Bakr

The life of Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, the first Rashidun caliph, is a golden page of Islamic history. He became the first man to consciously convert to Islam at the age of 38. Abu Bakr’s meek and gentle disposition contributed to the conversion of many outstanding companions to Islam. Many hadiths say that Abu Bakr was supposed to lead the Muslim world after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of the Almighty be upon him). This happened in 632.
