Is the Use of Alcohol-Based Perfume Permitted?

All Islamic scholars unanimously prohibit the consumption of any alcohol-containing product for the purpose of intoxication. Do other liquids containing alcohol count as impurities? Does perfume invalidate ablution (wudu) and prayer (salah)?
