The German artist and ethnographer of the XIX century Wilhelm Kizevetter dedicated many of his paintings to Crimea and Crimean Tatars. For about two years he lived with Crimean Tatars, studied Crimean Tatar, and then adopted Islam and took the name Abdullah.
