Sculptor Aider Aliev has received the Silver Medal «To the Worthy» from the Russian Academy of Arts, one of its highest honors. The award is received for his monument to Amet-Khan Sultan, a twice-decorated Hero of the Soviet Union and pilot, installed in the center of Akmescit. The award ceremony took place during a plein air event held at the «Foros» sanatorium.
