Aishe Seitmuratova was laid to rest in Aqmescit. Human rights defender, journalist, dissident, historian, and legend of the Crimean Tatar national movement passed away at the age of 89. Her entire life was an example of unshakable principle and incredible selflessness.
Deportation, Soviet camps, forced emigration—through this whirlwind of life, Aishe-Apte never forgot her homeland.
She returned at the first opportunity and never ceased her struggle for the rights of the Crimean Tatar people until her last days.
