The old Koktash Jami mosque

In the village of Koktash (Sinekamenka) there is a mosque dating back to the 16th century.
After the deportation of Crimean Tatars the mosque was almost destroyed. However, the mihrab with unique ornamental fragments was miraculously preserved. In 2014, thanks to local residents and patrons, restoration work began. Today here 5 times a day Muslims are called to prayer, held Friday and holiday prayers.
