In the old part of Aqmescit, in the Kholmistaya alley, there is a building of the former «Gypsy Mosque». This is the name of Seyit-Khalil Chelebi Mosque, built in the 19th century. The mosque worked until 1931, when it was closed by the Soviet authorities. Now in the building of the former mosque there is a residential building in which several families live.
