One of the most beautiful and recognizable mosques in Crimea is Kokkoz Cami, also called Yusupovskaya. It was built at the expense of Prince Yusupov. The mosque in the village of Kokkoz (Sokolinoye) has been perfectly preserved and even survived the atheistic Soviet times. They tried to destroy the minaret of the mosque, but the design features did not allow it to be done. Kokkoz Cami waited for the return of Crimean Tatars from deportation, and now it is the main decoration of the village.
