The oldest surviving mosque of the peninsula, built under the Golden Horde Khan Uzbek, is located in Eski Qirim (Old Crimea). It is adjoined by the ruins of a madrasah. The architectural complex, built in the 14th century, still attracts the attention of scientists-historians, lovers of antiquity and tourists. For Crimean Tatars, the Uzbek-Jami is not just a mosque, but a shrine that symbolizes the connection between different historical eras.
