Hundreds of Crimean mosques were destroyed due to wars, emigration, Soviet atheism, and deportation of Crimean Tatars. But once there were more than 1.5 thousand mosques in Crimea. Some of the most beautiful mosques of the peninsula remained only in photographs and ancient images.
