Eyewitnesses recalled that because of heavy snow the First Qurultay of the Crimean Tatar people in 1917 in Bakhchisaray began 2 days later than it was planned. Up to 10 cm of snow fell in a few days in the city. Snow in the former capital of the khans is an infrequent phenomenon, so when it falls here, it causes sincere joy and amazement.
