The Ayan water spring supplies the capital of Crimea

We have all heard about the Ayan reservoir, which is used to supply water to Akmescit (Simferopol). But it is worth knowing about the Ayan river, that originates in the Ayan spring, and also about this area as a whole. There used to be a Greek village called Ayan (from the Greek — St. John) near the spring. According to some reports, there also used to be a monastery, which named the spring and the river, on which there even used to be a windmill. When this publication, the works of Ruslan Stoychev were used.
