Northwest Crimea is not as popular and famous as, for example, the southern coast. Although there are many amazing places here. One of them is Swan Islands in the Karkinitsky Bay. The historical name of the group of islands is Sary-Bulat; they were named as Swan Islands only at the end of the 19th century. Swan Islands is one of the largest nesting, feeding and wintering grounds for birds in the Black Sea region. More than 250 species of birds nest here
