Mud volcanoes are one of the attractions of the Kerch peninsula. The largest field of such volcanoes is located near the village of Bulganak (Bondarenkovo). Until 1932 in Bulganak valley there was a small factory that extracted burr and carbon dioxide from the mud, which are used in various industries.
