At the weekend, a meeting of fellow villagers took place in the largest village of the Baydar Valley — the village of Urkusta (Peredovoye). Every year, people from the village gather in the center, where in 2009 a memorial stone was erected. Every year, the number of natives of the village who would have remembered Urkusta before the deportation is decreasing. But their children and grandchildren try not to miss traditional meetings.
