The Crimean Prosecutor’s Office refused to respond to a video by blogger Andrey Rudoy that contained insults towards Crimean Tatars. The video was published in May 2020 on the anniversary of the deportation of Crimean Tatars. The prosecutor’s office did not find grounds for imposing appropriate measures. Activist Elmaz Akim sent an appeal to the prosecutor’s office after the Investigative Committee and the Center on Counterection of Extremism, having studied the video, did not find any statements fomenting ethnic dissension in it.
