Talaka was held in the Asanov family

To lend a helping hand to those who need is a distinctive feature of Crimean Tatars. During the period of the mass return of the people to Crimea, the tradition of collective assistance — talaka — gained popularity. It has not lost its relevance in our days. A misfortune happened in the Asanov family: after a long illness, the head of the family died. His wife and a one-year-old child remained in the house, which is practically in disrepair. Dozens of caring men responded to the call of volunteers for help.
