Previously, not a single Crimean Tatar holiday was held without kuresh — a national belt wrestling competition. Many photos and even engravings depicting kuresh in Crimea in the past have survived. These photos, as well as awards and other exhibits can be seen in the Crimean Tatar Museum of Cultural and Historical Heritage in Aqmescit, where the exhibition «National Kuresh Wrestling: From the Origins to the Present» is open.
