Roads in the Old Town of Akmesjit are a hot topic for local residents. Several months ago, during road works on one of the sections in the area of 8 Marta Street, Fabrichny Spusk, and Delegatsky Lane, an illegal private sewer line was damaged, which only worsened the problem – now it’s impossible to pass or drive through here. As it turned out, such road conditions can be deadly – the resulting swamp became impassable for fire trucks and ambulances, and in September, as media report, a local resident died here. The problem is promised to be resolved by November 17.
