Shaped like a cheburek, in the form of a fez, and even 15 centimeters high — this is all about the traditional Crimean Tatar men’s headdress — the qalpaq. Depending on the region in Crimea, qalpaqlar differed in shape, height, and the curl of the karakul. This will be explained by a master craftsman of qalpaq making and researcher, Ilyas Musaev.
