Crimean scientists have recorded a mass death of birds near Lake Sivash. This was reported by Grigory Prokopov, a senior lecturer at the Department of Geoecology at the Taurida Academy of the Vernadsky Kazan Federal University. According to him, over 20,000 shelducks and other birds are dead.
