Lakays or Lokays are one of the numerous groups of the Uzbek population of Tajikistan. This is one of the oldest Turkic tribes in Central Asia. Now there are about 500 thousand Lakays. Despite their close proximity to other peoples, the Lakays have preserved their language, traditions and customs.
