Uzeyir Abduramanov Built Bridges Under Shelling Of Invaders

Sapper Uzeyir Abduramanov took part in the Battle of Stalingrad. He built bridges, standing in icy water under continuous enemy fire. He was wounded several times, but returned to the front line again. In January 1944 he received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. And in May, his family, along with the entire Crimean Tatar people, was deported from Crimea. But this did not break the hero. After the war, he just as selflessly stood up for the defense of his people.
