Shevkie Asanova was born in 1947 in the city of Chirchik — it was there that her family was deported in 1944. Shevkie-khanim was lucky not to see the first terrible years in exile. From early childhood, she dreamed of becoming a professional singer. However, the dream of a big stage did not come true. Shevkie-khanim was not accepted to the music school, having learned that she was a Crimean Tatar. But this did not stop her from devoting her whole life to the stage.
