Esat Battalov Compiled A Map Of The Disappeared Villages Of The Kerch Peninsula

Having returned to Crimea in the late 90s, Esat Battalov began to study the disappeared villages of his native Kerch Peninsula, of which there are more than a hundred. He traveled to all of them and marked their locations. This is how a map of Kerch villages and towns appeared, as well as the Battalov family tree. The map was designed by the famous artist Zera Ablyazisova.
