On April 9, 1937, Rolland Kadiev, a brilliant physicist and prominent activist of the national movement of Crimean Tatars, was born. For his human rights work he was convicted twice and sentenced to imprisonment. A convinced and determined fighter for the rights of his people, Rollan Kadyiev never returned to his homeland.
