Speaking about the representatives of the Crimean Tatar diaspora who actively participated in the national movement, it is impossible not to talk about Sabri Arykan. He devoted his whole life to Crimean Tatars, for many years he studied the life of Ismail Gasprinsky. Sabri Arykan was born in a family of Crimean Tatars who emigrated first to Romania and then to Turkey. In 1930, he supported the publication of the «Emel» magazine, the first magazine of the Crimean Tatar emigration, and then became one of the founders of the «Emel» foundation.
