Crimean Tatars of Uzbekistan. Chelek

One of the places where Crimean Tatars ended up in 1944 was the city of Chelek in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan. There, the deportees were immediately assigned to work in the cotton fields. The descendants of Crimean Tatars still live in the village of Chelek today.
