At the First Turkological Congress, all Turkic peoples switched to the Latin alphabet

On February 26, 1926, the First All-Union Turkological Congress opened in Baku, the main result of which was the transition of the writing of the Turkic peoples to the Latin script. One of the organizers of the congress was the outstanding Crimean Tatar scientist Bekir Choban-zade. 8 delegates from Crimea took part in the congress. Almost all of them were shot in 1937-39.
