Vladimir Gordlevsky a connoisseur of Turkey and Crimean Tatar jokes

The foremost Russian and Soviet Turkologist, Doctor of Literature, Professor, Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences Vladimir Gordlevsky was born 145 years ago. In addition to invaluable information on the Turkish language and history, he collected ethnographic materials about Crimean Tatars. In particular, he wrote an article about the hero of the Crimean Tatar jokes, Akhmet-bey.
