Mustafa Halim Özyazıcı is one of the last outstanding Ottoman calligraphers. He was of Crimean Tatar origin. Özyazıcı was a talented calligrapher with a high level of knowledge of various writing styles, but is widely known as a master of the «thuluth» style.
