One of the Bost Influential Ottoman Dignitaries was of Crimean Origin

The famous Ottoman statesman Halet Efendi was of Crimean Tatar origin. He was the son of the Crimean judge Kırımı Hüseyin Efendi. From 1802 to 1806, he headed the Ottoman embassy in Paris. And in the 1810s, he held the position of chief adviser to Sultan Mahmud II and keeper of the seal.
