Nasim Nafeev: Saved People with War Service Dogs

During the Second World War, the Red Army had about 60 thousands of serving dogs. Among them, there were driving, messenger, casualty, guard, sabotage, or damage-causing, dogs. With the help of casualty dogs, wounded soldiers and officers would be taken from the battlefields. Dogs also would bring soldiers ammunition and food, and even lighter guns. The dog «units» were specially trained by guides-orderlies.
