Probably everyone has tasted the famous Azerbaijani tea. However, few people know that an invaluable contribution to the development of the tea plantations in Azerbaijan was made by the Crimean Tatar agronomist Mamut Bayasanov. It was thanks to him that the first industrial tea plantations appeared in the country.
