Mambet Aliyev was a Crimean Tatar writer and publicist, veteran of the Second World War. The talented prose writer, a recognized master of short stories with vivid images, his prose was collected in books «Bir yutum suv» («A sip of water»), «Divardaki yazilar» («Writings on the wall»), which received high praise from his contemporaries.
