The formal reason for the deportation of the Crimean Tatars was the charge of the whole people for as if collaboration with the Nazi invaders. The fate of Major-General Ismail Bulatov, as tens of thousands of other Crimean Tatars who fought in the Red Army against the German fascists, completely rejects this lie.
