Dzhevdet Dermendzhi: A Crimean Tatar Hero Without A Title

Dzhevdet Dermendzhi is a Crimean Tatar soldier, a participant in the Second World War. He took part in battles for large cities and repeatedly proved himself to be a brave fighter and commander. He was wounded five times. For numerous exploits he was nominated for the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, but never received this title.
