Usein Bodaninsky, who was dismissed as director of the Bakhchisaray Museum in 1934, was replaced by Bekir Faikov. He graduated from the Faculty of History and was a party activist. Faikov was the director of the Palace Museum for only 2 years, but he managed to do a lot for the preservation of museum values.
