Asan Sabri Ayvazov, an activist of Crimean Tatar national movement, an educator and a writer, was born to a poor family. He could not even imagine what a remarkable life he would live. In 1898 he opened the first school in his village available for local children. Boys and girls studied Islam, mathematics, geography and Crimean Tatar language.
