100 years ago Noman Chelebijikhan, the head of the Crimean People’s Republic, the first Mufti of Muslims of Crimea, Lithuania and Poland, was killed. In 1917 he initiated establishing the first Kurultay of Crimean Tatar people. He was killed Feb 23, 1918.
