Mount Orman-Kosh is the highest point in Crimea, with an elevation of 1545 meters above sea level. It is called exactly Orman-Kosh, which translates from Crimean Tatar as «forest camp». There is a version that at the beginning of the 20th century, to please the imperial Romanov family, the mountain was renamed Roman-Kosh; now this name for the summit is being popularized.
