What Was Exported from Crimea?

In Italy, they made pasta (macaroni) from Crimean wheat, and the main consumer of Crimean honey was the Ottoman sultan’s court. Also valued worldwide were Crimean salt, tobacco, fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood, leather and textiles. The main export product, however, was wheat.
