A famous composer, one of the founders of Armenian classical music, Alexander Spendiarov (1871-1928), processed many Crimean Tatar melidies, including the melody of the famous dance «Haytarma». Living in Crimea, he not only collected material for his creative work, but also was engaged in charity work. This interesting fact from his biography was cited in the book by his daughter Maria Spendiarova.
