Since the beginning of the 17th century, the large Greek island of Rhodes served as a place of honorable exile for representatives of the Giray dynasty. Janibek Giray I, Mengli Giray, Saadet Giray and many others found temporary or eternal shelter here. What was Rhodes for them: a paradise or a prison?
