Complete collectivization in the 1930s did not pass over Crimean Tatar artisans. They began to be united in guilds. The largest and most famous was the “Kuyumdzhi” guild, organized in 1937 in Bakhchisarai. It gathered filigranists of one of the most famous Bakhchisarai quarters — Kuyumdzhi maale. All the works in the guild were made of base metal, jewelry with Crimean and Soviet symbols were made using traditional techniques and ornaments.
