English traveler, professor at Cambridge University Edward Daniel Clark visited Crimea at the beginning of the 19th century. In his travel notes, he, among other things, described the cuisine of local residents. In particular, in Bakhchisarai, the Englishman was surprised by «sausages» made from grape leaves and half a meter cucumbers.
