Indzhi-Bek-Khatun — the founder of one of the first madrasahs in Crimea

The madrasah attached to the mosque of Khan Uzbek is one of the first Muslim higher educational institutions in Crimea. It is interesting that its founder was a woman — Indzhi-Bek-Khatun. She became one of the most prominent women of Crimea during the Golden Horde period. But, despite this, very little information has been preserved about Indzhi-Bek-Khatun itself.
