Lavish Crimean Tatar weddings with benefit for the people. A century ago, the organizers of celebrations sought not only to feed and entertain guests but also to contribute to the education of the people. One such fact is recounted in Tair Kerimov’s new book «Millet Cevherleri» – a unique collection of journalistic articles from the newspaper «Millet» of 1917-1920. It takes us back to the period of the First Kurultay and revolutionary changes, demonstrating how Crimean Tatars, despite turbulent times, actively strove for cultural development.
