Zindzhirly medresse (a medresse with a chain) is one of the first Islamic universities in Eastern Europe and Eurasia which was founded 516 years ago in Bakhchisaray and survived until our own days. Not only theology was studied here but also all other sciences. The Medresse graduates have held high posts worldwide; their works are used in academic circles even today.
